This dashboard used <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://sofifa.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">SoFifa</a> data and was inspired by a fantastic <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://ekrem-bayar.shinyapps.io/FifaDash/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Fifa Shiny Dashboard</a>. You can test the application <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://demo.appsilon.ai/apps/fifa19/_w_5b7734d4/#!/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">here</a>. <h2>People's Choice Runner-Up: <a href="https://demo.appsilon.ai/apps/semantic_memory/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Semantic Memory</a></h2> Semantic Memory is a memory game created from scratch by Appsilon engineer <a href="https://appsilon.com/author/kuba/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Jakub Nowicki</a> using <code>shiny.semantic</code> (with some adjustments). Two players try to find as many pairs of R package hexes (coming from both Appsilon and RStudio) as they can. You might notice the reference to our new <a href="https://appsilon.com/shiny-worker-package/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">shiny.worker</a> package in this screenshot. The app won 20.4% of your votes and was named "<a href="https://blog.rstudio.com/2020/11/10/the-appsilon-shiny-semantic-pocontest/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Most Technically Impressive</a>" by RStudio. <img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5868" src="https://webflow-prod-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/6525256482c9e9a06c7a9d3c%2F65b021a9e8fe2e8669afceaf_Screenshot-2020-11-03-at-10.18.07.webp" alt="Polluter Alert" width="1468" height="792" /> This dashboard's goal is to build a reliable dataset used for actionable insights – sometimes, the primary pollution source is a single chimney. Sometimes it is a district problem (lack of modern heating infrastructure), etc. You can test the application <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://demo.appsilon.ai/apps/polluter/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">here</a>. <h2>Fourth Place: <a href="https://demo.appsilon.ai/apps/mosaic/_w_964780ff/#!/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Shiny Mosaic</a></h2> The purpose of this application by <a href="https://appsilon.com/author/krystian/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Krystian Igras</a> is to enable the user to create a mosaic of a photo they upload. The app won 12.2% of your votes. <img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5864" src="https://webflow-prod-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/6525256482c9e9a06c7a9d3c%2F65b021ab847019498046af45_Screenshot-2020-11-03-at-10.08.49.webp" alt="Shiny Mosaic" width="625" height="450" /> The application, built in the form of a wizard, allows users to configure the target mosaic form easily. You can test the application <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://demo.appsilon.ai/apps/mosaic/_w_964780ff/#!/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">here</a>. <h2>Fifth Place: <a href="https://demo.appsilon.ai/apps/pixelator/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Semantic Pixelator</a></h2> Semantic Pixelator (created by <a href="https://appsilon.com/author/pedro/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Pedro Silva</a>) is a fun way to explore semantic elements by creating different image compositions using loaders, icons, and other UI elements from semantic/fomantic UI. The app only won 4.1% of your votes in the popularity contest, but RStudio named it "<a href="https://blog.rstudio.com/2020/11/10/the-appsilon-shiny-semantic-pocontest/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Most Creatively Impressive</a>." <img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5869" src="https://webflow-prod-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/6525256482c9e9a06c7a9d3c%2F65b021aba89a044c4d36bc0a_Screenshot-2020-11-03-at-10.19.25.webp" alt="Semantic Pixelator" width="1585" height="960" /> You can use the sidebar to refine different parameters such as the generated grid's size, the base element type, and other color options. You can then use the palette generator to create a color palette based on the result and download both the current palette details and the developed composition. You can test the application <a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://demo.appsilon.ai/apps/pixelator/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">here</a>. <h2>Sixth Place: <a href="https://demo.appsilon.ai/apps/squaremantic/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Squaremantic</a></h2> With this app by Appsilon team member Jakub Chojna, you can quickly generate a nicely formatted square layout of letters based on the text input. The app received 2% of the overall votes, but it's first place in our hearts!
